My journey with makeup started around 25 years ago. As all the little girls my age in the 90’s, I was obsessed with Barbie dolls. I had every doll my parents could afford, the cute little outfits, even a Barbie dream house! Little to my actual knowledge.. playing with dolls was the beginning of my artist journey that has led me to makeup artistry. The truth is, I RUINED my dolls by chopping off all their hair and constantly drawing on their faces with any marker I could find. Little 5 year old Roxie was doing a makeup masterpiece, the world just wasn’t ready yet! haha. At least thats the story I like to believe is true.

In all seriousness, artistry has always been a part of my life. Whether it’s been drawing, painting, or cooking, I’ve always found that creating something with my hands brings me the most joy. I’ve been a makeup artist specializing in Bridal Makeup for about 7 years now and I still feel like I’m living a dream, getting to do my dream job.
